Apart from providing excellent social and recreational facilities, some of the more notable achievements of Conna Community Council include the building of the Muintir hall in 1945, the building of the sports complex in 1986, the development of the car park and tennis courts, the development of Sheltered Housing for the Elderly and a Social Centre and the building of Conna Community Childcare.
In 1988 Conna got the award for Best Community in Ireland.
In 1997 a footpath from the village was constructed.
In 2015 a footpath from the village to the Community Sports Field was constructed.
Regarding employment, in 1977 plastics and cigar industries were attracted to the area which provided much needed employment locally. Many vital services have also been secured for the locality through representations by the Community Council.
